Glencore-Antapaccay mine is the proven source of contamination in Espinar, Peru

This document summarizes the main findings of the Environmental Causality Assessment (EAC) reports, carried out by the Environmental Assessment and Oversight Agency (OEFA) in 2023 in the province of Espinar, within the scope of the Antapaccay mining unit – Tintaya Expansion – Coroccohuayco Integration.
The results of the OEFA causality study confirm what the population of Espinar has been observing, suffering and denouncing for many years: the mine contaminates. What is new is that this has been confirmed in great detail and with solid scientific methods in more than 1,500 pages by an entity of the Peruvian State itself.
